Honduras

I’m excited to be joining my local church group on a missions trip to Honduras on June 7th, 2013. While there, we will be building a 1 room house for a family in need, among other missions work. The last international missions trip I did was 15 years ago, which is hard to believe. I am looking forward to getting a fresh reminder that the things I often complain about are so insignificant when put in the proper context.

Any overseas trip is costly, so I am asking if you’ll donate $7 to help send me to Honduras. Why $7? I am not exactly sure, but I felt like this was a forgettable amount to many people, and I didn’t want anyone to think that I am expecting big donations. The goal is $1,100, so I only need 157.14 people do donate 7 bucks, and I am on my way to a life changing experience! I’ll update the page with progress.Danny Tanner

I know what you are thinking, why would you call this a “FUNdraising Raffle Extravaganza?” Well, the “FUNdraising” part is because I am asking you to give $7 to help send me on a mission trip.

The “raffle” part is because for each person that donates $7 between now and March 31st, you will be entered in to a drawing for a free pair of tickets to the Major League ballpark of your choice ($125 value). That’s right, one of you will get 2 tickets to see your favorite team in action, and these won’t be cheap seats either – so please share this with friends! (Courtesy of my friends at Score Big). The winner will be posted here and on my Facebook status in early April.

I think the “extravaganza” part is obvious. The “Donate” button below will take you to Paypal, and you can sign into your account, or if you don’t have an account you’ll see a link to continue near the bottom of the page and give with credit/debit card. Click the “Donate” button below to give $7 towards the trip!

Congrats to the winner of free tickets – Joy Bishop!

  • Have a great trip! These trips are life-changing and a great eye-opener to the blessings that we have. Thank you for being a blessing to people less fortunate than us.
